Choose JioHotstar by screens and ads
JioHotstar currently offers three paid tiers for new subscribers in India. Mobile costs ā¹79 monthly, ā¹149 quarterly or ā¹499 annually. Super costs ā¹149 monthly, ā¹349 quarterly or ā¹1,099 annually. Premium costs ā¹299 monthly, ā¹699 quarterly or ā¹2,199 annually.
Choose Mobile only when one phone is enough. Choose Super when you need a TV, web access or two devices at the same time. Premium is mainly for a household that needs up to four simultaneous devices and wants entertainment without ads, although JioHotstar says ads can still appear during live sports and other live shows.
Prices and account-specific offers can change. Check the amount, renewal period and benefits shown in JioHotstar immediately before paying.
JioHotstar plans compared
| Plan | Monthly | Quarterly | Annual | Device access | Ads and content |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mobile | ā¹79 | ā¹149 | ā¹499 | 1 mobile device at a time | Ad-supported; Hollywood needs a separate add-on |
| Super | ā¹149 | ā¹349 | ā¹1,099 | Up to 2 devices at a time, including supported TV and web | Ad-supported; Hollywood included |
| Premium | ā¹299 | ā¹699 | ā¹2,199 | Up to 4 devices at a time, including supported TV and web | Entertainment is ad-free except live sports and other live shows; Hollywood included |
These are JioStar's prices for new subscribers effective 28 January 2026. Existing subscribers can remain on their current plan and price while auto-renewal stays active, according to the company. That means the plan shown on an older account may not match the new-subscriber table.

Start with where and how many people watch at once; billing duration comes after that decision.
Mobile is cheap, but the device limit is strict
The Mobile tier is built for one phone at a time. It is ad-supported, and JioStar says the base tier excludes Hollywood entertainment. A Hollywood add-on is available at ā¹49 monthly, ā¹129 quarterly or ā¹399 annually.
Mobile therefore suits one person who is comfortable watching on a small screen and mainly wants Indian entertainment or live sports. It is a poor fit if you expect to move to a laptop or living-room TV. Adding Hollywood also changes the comparison: Mobile plus the monthly add-on costs ā¹128, only ā¹21 below Super's ā¹149 monthly price.
Do not assume that a low monthly amount is the cheapest way to subscribe for a full year. Twelve Mobile monthly payments total ā¹948, while the listed annual price is ā¹499. The annual option costs less across twelve uninterrupted months, but it also commits your money for longer.
Super is the practical TV and two-device choice
Super supports mobile, web and compatible living-room devices, with up to two devices at a time. Hollywood is included, but the plan remains ad-supported. It is the practical middle tier for a couple or small household that watches on a TV and sometimes uses a second screen.
The quarterly price is especially worth comparing. Four ā¹349 quarterly payments total ā¹1,396, while the annual plan is ā¹1,099. The annual saving only matters if you expect to keep the service for most of the year. If you need it around one tournament or series, one monthly or quarterly payment may be more disciplined.
For a different two-screen subscription comparison, CouponPe's Netflix plans guide for India separates simultaneous streams from picture quality. If your main need is shopping plus video, the Amazon Prime membership comparison explains the difference between its shopping and entertainment tiers.
Premium is for four devices and fewer entertainment ads
Premium allows up to four devices at the same time across supported mobile, web and living-room devices. JioStar describes entertainment as ad-free, with an important exception for live sports and other live shows. Paying for Premium therefore does not guarantee that every stream will be free of advertising.
A household that regularly has three or four simultaneous viewers can use the extra capacity. One viewer should not choose Premium only because it is the highest tier. At ā¹2,199 annually, it costs ā¹1,100 more than Super's annual price. Confirm that the additional device capacity and ad treatment solve a real problem in your home.
Compare monthly, quarterly and annual cost honestly
The longest plan has the lowest effective monthly cost in each tier, but that is not automatically the best purchase. An annual payment is wasted if you stop watching after a few months. A monthly plan costs more over a full year but makes it easier to leave after one event or season.
Use this simple rule:
- Pick the tier from devices, simultaneous viewers, ads and Hollywood access.
- Estimate how many months you will genuinely use it.
- Compare one annual payment with the exact number of monthly or quarterly renewals you expect.
- Check whether an existing auto-renewing account has protected pricing before changing it.
The same final-cost habit helps with physical streaming devices. Compare the current cart through the Amazon coupons and store page and Flipkart coupons and store page, but do not let a TV discount decide which streaming tier you need. CouponPe's sale, coupon and bank-offer guide shows how to verify the payable amount instead of trusting a headline saving.
Check bundles separately from a direct subscription
Jio currently has a limited-period mobile recharge offer for eligible plans. Its terms say a recharge of ā¹349 with 2 GB per day can include three months of JioHotstar Mobile, while eligible ā¹399 plans with 2.5 GB per day or more can include Mobile plus Hollywood. The customer must keep the eligible plan active and sign in with the same Jio number.
Treat that as a telecom bundle, not a permanent JioHotstar price. Check the exact recharge card and terms before paying because eligibility and the offer period can change. A bundle is useful only when you already need the mobile data plan; paying more for data you will not use can cancel the apparent streaming saving.

Verify the complete subscription path before payment, especially when a telecom bundle is involved.
Check your devices before subscribing
- List the screens. Mobile cannot replace Super or Premium when you need a TV or web browser.
- Count simultaneous viewers. Count people who watch at the same time, not profiles stored in the account.
- Check content access. Mobile requires a paid add-on for Hollywood; Super and Premium include it.
- Choose a truthful duration. Compare your likely months of use with monthly, quarterly and annual totals.
- Pay through an official route. Avoid strangers selling shared slots or vouchers without verifiable terms.
- Review renewal. Note the next billing date and any protected existing-subscriber price before changing the plan.
If a payment succeeds but access does not appear, save the transaction reference and subscription screen. The payment-debited, order-failed guide explains how to organise evidence before contacting the service or payment provider.
Which JioHotstar plan fits your screens?
Choose Mobile for one phone and limited content needs, Super for TV or two-device viewing, and Premium only when four simultaneous devices or its ad treatment justify the extra cost. Decide the tier first, then choose a billing period based on how long you will actually watch.
